Bruno Braak werkt sinds september 2024 bij IOB. Hij is gepromoveerd aan de Universiteit Leiden op onderzoek naar oorlog, ontheemding en traditionele autoriteiten in Zuid-Soedan en Oeganda. Hij deed onder meer onderzoek in en naar Kosovo, Soedan, Zuid-Soedan, Oeganda en Libië, veelal naar oorlog en vrede, ontheemding, lokale geschilbeslechting en rechtssystemen.
